Shri Mata Vaishno Board Devi Shrine Board provides free of charge residential accommodation, food, clothing, books etc.
A Gurukul building (Double Storey) with 12 Class Rooms, a Library, a Prayer Hall and Rooms for Principal, Acharyas etc.
There is provision for medical facility for the students
Gurukul has a basket ball court, a volley ball court and arrangements for other sports. Inter-school Table tennis, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton competitions are also organized for the students of the Gurukul under the supervision of Director (Sports), SMVD Shrine Board, Katra.
Gurukul has a modern Computer Lab and a Science - Math Lab to promote education in modern subjects.
Gurukul has a Language Lab for improving language skills and enabling the students to gain proficiency in spoken English and Sanskrit.
Gurukul has a well equipped Library which has more than 1800 books on conventional as well as modern subjects.
Gurukul hostel has provision of low height beds as well as bunk beds (2 tier), independent cupboard for each student, neat & clean toilet / bath and all other related facilities.
The Students of Gurukul follow a well defined daily routine from 6:00 AM in morning till 10:00 PM in night which includes (a) Sandhya – twice a day, (b) Class room study, (c) games, (d) fixed hours for lunch, dinner & breakfast as per daily routine charts of the students of Gurukul.
There is fixed menu for lunch, dinner & breakfast which includes wholesome, sumptuous and nutritious food, fruit, milk etc.
Solar Water Heating System has been provided in the SMVD Gurukul.
Solar Power Plant System has also been provided in the SMVD Gurukul.
For Acharyas:
The Acharyas in Gurukul has been provided well furnished accommodation within the Gurukul complex and it has provision for meals also.
